Core Material

In these classes you will learn Krav Maga from the ground up as you receive focused training specific to your level.  and will practice and refine your skills as you progress through the levels.

Induction
In this 90 minute training session we will teach you some of the basic Krav Maga techniques and concepts and will prepare you for joining our regular classes. Already from the start you will learn some practical and highly effective Krav Maga techniques and you will get a chance to participate in some unique reality based drills to put your newly acquired skills to the test. Book your induction online right now.

Beginner
In these classes you will learn the foundations of combatives and striking, releases from common grabs (including chokes and holds), defending against an unarmed attacker, defending against knives, gaining situational awareness, defending against multiple attackers, fighting on the ground, and basic Krav Maga tactics. Training includes a wide variety of realistic training simulations and drills. You can expect to attain the Krav Maga level of P1 and graduate to the Intermediate classes after approximately 4 months of regular training.
Intermediate
These classes will focus on refining your Krav Maga skills and moving beyond the basics. You will add even more skills to your arsenal and learn how to deal with far more varied and complex problems. Topics include defending against many weapons (such as guns, sticks, knives and broken glass), fighting armed attackers who are alone or in a group, learning to utilise common objects for self defence, how to apply advanced Krav Maga tactics, and much more.
Advanced
In the advanced classes students learn complex problem solving skills and advanced fighting tactics. Topics include defensive techniques against attackers with with different firearms and cold weapons, fighting from all positions (including on the ground, in a crowd, in confined spaces such as public transport), protecting a third party, fighting against armed multiple attackers, and much more.

Mixed Level Classes

These classes classes are not compulsory but are highly recommended for those who want to get even more out of their training.

Striking
Your ability to hit an attacker and hard is key to finishing a fight fast. In these classes we focus primarily on striking. Our instructors will show you how to build maximum speed and power into your strikes. These classes provide a great workout and and opportunity to improve one of your most fundamental skills.
Fight Class
In these classes you will learn how to fight the Krav Maga way. Learn all the dirty tricks, practice in drills against armed attackers and multiple opponents and train on sparring and ground fighting. To participate in these classes you must be at an intermediate level or above.
SD-Tech
In these classes we focus mainly on self defence techniques. Our instructors will help you practice some of the material you are learning in the core level classes and will introduce interesting techniques and ways to solve problems from higher levels.
Combat Conditioning
If you want to get fit and fast – this one is for you. Combat Conditioning is a no-nonsense Krav Maga approach to fitness. Transform your body into an elite fighting machine. Burn fat, build muscle, strength, stamina and power. Be prepared to work hard, build up a good sweat and walk out with a big smile on your face.

* Mixed level classes are offered at our main gym in Surry Hills for all KMDI members regardless of where you attend your core level classes.
